The preliminary task

The preliminary task was to get certain amount of shots in a scene of 30 seconds with any storyline. Our story line was someone walking into their office and finding one of their friends being strangled by the neck, and he tries to reason with him to stop it but cannot and his friend ends up dead. The shots we had to try and get was a panning shot which was used when we is walking into his office, extreme close up which is used when putting his hand on the door handle to enter his office. POV (point of view) shot which was used when they are confronting each other in the office. I have learned how to use the camera angles and positions at the right time and place to creat the right effect on a scene. We also used match on action to cut out uneeded footage. We felt that this would make the film more fluent. We abided by the 180 degree rule, this was to keep the actors in there original positions and to make it easier for the audience.
